Gossip Girl Steals The Show

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively stole the show last night at the premiere of Guy Ritchie's latest release Sherlock Holmes.

Lively who plays Serena van der Woodsen in the hit TV show, showed of her curves in a daring black lace dress split to the thigh with a plunging neckline for last night's do in New York.

The 22-year-old star is becoming a fond favourite and a regular on the red carpet along with being famed for her longs legs and daring outfits.

The star was photographed along side Stars Robert Downey Jr, who plays the legendary detective, and Jude Law, who is Dr Watson..... what a lucky girl she is!

One's To Watch: Amber and Saffron Le Bon

Lead man of iconic band Duran Duran and eighties heart Simon Le Bon and his supermodel wife Yasmin Le Bon's daughters, Amber and Saffron, have talked about following in their parents footsteps...... but in very different ways. 20-year-old Amber, who is already following in her mother's footsteps as a model, has recently said that her dream job is becoming a photographer.

"I know modelling is not a lifelong career," Amber Le Bon said "and because I so love taking pictures of people, I think my future is going to be as a photographer. While modelling I am learning a lot about the work on the other side of the camera. I am constantly getting practical experience, although I haven't studied it technically."

While Amber's 18-year-old sister Saffron, has said she is thinking about following in her father's footsteps as a musician.

"I am the most like Dad out of all three of us," Saffron Le Bon told The Daily Telegraph. "I am not interested in going to university. All I want to do is make music. I want to sing, either on my own or with a band, but I don't want to go to music college. I am not sure what type of music suits me, but I love classical and opera."

Madonna Replaced By A Younger Model

Queen of Pop Madonna has been replaced as the face of Louis Vuitton by a younger model and not just any model.... It's none other than David Walliams new girlfriend and supermodel of the moment Lara Stone.

The 51 year-old star is said to be furious as Lara was handpicked for the spring/ summer 2010 campaign by Madonna's good friend, designer Marc Jacobs.

Yesterday a spokesman for Louis Vuitton almost gave the impression that working with Madonna is considered high maintenance as the spokesman said: "After two seasons with such a huge star, Marc decided to take a breather and work with a model"



The singer who looks amazing for her age has fronted the last two LV campaigns, over the past two years, but maybe she has simply had her time? While 25 year-old Miss Stone who has recently been compared to a young Brigitte Bardott has got plenty years ahead of her.

Naomi Campbell's Search For The Next Top Model

British Supermodel Naomi Campbell is set to become the face of a new X Factor-style modelling show.

The proposed show which is set to hit our tv screens sometime next year would see Campbell taking on a group of budding young models, offering them advice and criticism and whittling them down to a winner.

A spokesperson for Campbell said "Naomi has been approached with an offer, which we are discussing, but nothing is set in stone yet."

The 39 year-old has taken part in more catwalk shows than almost any other model still working today, since hitting the catwalk in the late Eighties - and was famously the first black model to appear on the cover of British Vogue in December 1987.

A spokesperson also said "Naomi loves her job and adores modelling but she would like a new challenge and this would be the perfect opportunity for her to do so"

The reason I feel flickr is a reliable source is that real photographers have accounts on the site and upload their images daily while some accounts are owned by magazines etc and they upload the latest photo’s from premiere’s and other media events.

I really like this site and I look at it as ofter as I can as it has a large variety of fashion videos, its not just full of catwalk shows, it also has very interesting interviews with the industries top models and fashion designers.

Fashvids is a site dedicated to fashion videos, even though all their video’s are sourced from Youtube, Fashvids make it far easier to find the latest fashion videos as it sometimes extremely hard to find what you are looking for on youtube, so Fashvids basically does the work for you. Just log on and away you go!

Rubik's The New Face Of Wii Yoga

Stunning catwalk model Anja Rubik is the new face of Nentendo Wii Yoga. The 26 year old Polish-born model said "I've been practicing yoga for three years, It helps me relax mentally and focuses my mind. It can also do amazing things physically! it keeps me fit and helps my balance and focus. My job involves a lot of sitting on aeroplanes and a lot of walking in high heels! I find yoga helps with both."

When the models not at home having some 'me time' by doing yoga she is usually busy dominating the catwalk having walked for 'Christian Dior, Alexander McQueen, Jean Paul Gaultier, Gucci, Chanel, Fendi, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Balmain, Isabel Marant, Viktor & Rolf, Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney'

British actress Kate Beckinsale has undergone a series of dramatic makeovers all for the sake of new new Absolut Vodka promos.

One of the three images show's Kate in a pair of huge heels adding yet more inches to her skyscraper pins, as she towers above buildings recreating the poster for the movie 'Attack Of The 50 Foot Woman'

while in another picture the actress goes Lady GaGa wearing a blonde wig, boob tube and super-tight Lycra leggings in an ad dominated by disorientating swirls of green and white.

Helena Christensen is Shameless

40 year old Danish Supermodel Helena Christensen, has stripped down for the new issue of Elle magazine, revealing that she loves her female shape and is not ashamed to show it. In an interview for Elle the model said "I'm proud to say I love breasts. I love the female shape, It’s crazy that you can have movie posters with men with machine guns but oh, God forbid you pose naked! That never ceases to amaze me. It’s flabbergasting."

Helena makes a very good point. She also went on to say "I can understand if you push yourself into the camera and pose certain ways – that’s sexually erotic. But the sensual contours in the male or female shape? Come on, guys, relax! So I have no problems with it ... But I’m Danish. Everyone’s naked on the beaches.... WE DON'T CARE!"
What we can't help but love about Helena is that her attitude towards fashion is "to hell with it!"

She told the magazine "I think you’ve gotta have a care less attitude about it. I gotta do what I feel like doing. If I feel like dressing ridiculous today, I will."

"I don’t care. I love seeing people on the street where I’m thinking, What’s going on there? OK, that is wrong on so many levels, but pretty cool at the same time!"

It should be a crime for someone to look so good at 40, but its pretty amazing, if her secret to looking absolutely amazing is "to hell with it" then maybe it should be everyone's line of thinking?

Alexa Chung Style Secrets

The question I ask myself whenever I see Alexa Chung is 'How does she make dressing up look so easy!?!' The 25-year-old TV personality and model is continuously in countless amounts of fashion and celebrity gossip magazines all of which are in awe of her erroftless style and natural beauty! Yet she insists she hates dressing up? So how does she do it, well she recently revealed in an interview that she loves vintage clothes and that shops such as 'Beyond Retro', on Great Marlborough Street, and 'Rellik', in west London are the perfect place to find stunning items of clothes that no one else has. Alexa also revealed that she likes to put a twist into what she's wearing, for example mixing a bit of H&M with Chanel, or Topshop with D&G "It manages to make quite the impression" she said. Somehow Alexa is one of those girls who can get away with wearing a black bin bag! She doesn't need tight revealing clothes to look good.

Demi, is that you?

Stunning 47 year old actress Demi Moore is once more involved in controversy this week over claims that her body on a magazine cover for W magazine actually belongs to 26 year old catwalk model Anja Rubik,

Experts say that there seems to be a startling similarity between Demi's photograph and photographs of Anja wearing the same corset dress on the runway in Paris a few months ago. Under close inspection experts claim that the neck, collarbone and arms are all identical to the pictures of Rubik and that Moore's head must have been superimposed onto her body along with the fact that the image has been branded as "the worst photoshop job ever" as stunned readers have claimed that Moore's left thigh and hip had almost vanished in the photo.

But Moore herself has slammed the claims via her Twitter site posting the original image on her page saying "Here is the original image people, my hips were not touched don't let these people b******* you!

All I can say is that whether or not its really you Demi, its still a fantastic looking photograph no matter what anyone says!

Best Dressed Of Novemeber 09 London Fashion Week

This week celebrated the 25th anniversary of London Fashion Week making it the perfect excuse for Celebrities to dress up and party!

The likes of Kate Moss, Erin O'Connor, Gwyneth Paltrow, Liv Tyler, Alexa Chung, Victoria Beckham, Emma Watson, Agyness Deyn, Natalia Vodianova, Yasmin Le Bon and model daughter Amber Le Bon all managed to keep the style watchers happy with their show-side outfits at some of the week's best catwalk shows and parties including designer Mark Fasts after show party, Mulberry's carnival-themed knees-up party at Claridges, and the Luella party at Bungalow 8.

Many of the best dressed celebrities could be found front rows at the shows of the Matthew Williamson, Topshop Unique, Henry Holland and Burberry this week.

Hilary is a fashion magazine with a regularly updated fashion blog based on Celebrity fashion.

From what I can see there are no Credentials on the person on the page, the only information we have is that the articles are posted by ‘Maggie's Nest’.

There also isn’t many links to other sites just adverts and from what I can see she has placed a link to Youtube in a few of her posts.

The blog is very straight to the point and is not very opinionated, she doesn’t tell us about any of her beliefs or how she feels about the subject she just tells us the information we need. But from what I can see she seems honest and tells us everything we need to know about the story.

The information in each article is very accurate and complete. It is also very appropriate and easy to read as she gives you the full story in an approachable way.

I really like this blog as its design and layout is really easy to use and read, you don’t have to search for anything as all the information is there for you.

The layout is also very eye catching as she has used bright upbeat colours.
But the writhing style is very straight to the point, not much wittiness from what I can see but its not too formal either, it’s still easy to read and approachable!

From what I can see it’s a very good Celebrity Fashion site!

Heidi Klum Back to Catwalk, Six Weeks After Giving Birth!

Stunning German supermodel Heidi Klum made her first appearance on the catwalk of the 2009 Victoria's Secret show on Friday night, since giving birth just five weeks ago. Heidi managed to wow the crowd by showing of her stunning figure in a purple corset covered with a half gown covered in what looked like Roses. She emerged from the huge, castle like set to a applause from the audience.
Fellow model, Alessandra Ambrosio said “She can do it all, She’s such an inspiration”
While Victoria’s Secret president and chief marketing officer, Ed Razek said “Heidi is superwoman. She had a baby a few weeks ago and now she is hosting the most high profile fashion show in the world, were very happy to have her back”

It is great to see that Heidi is still in such great demand as only last year a top German designer and modeling agent called her “too fat” to be a supermodel, and legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld dismissed her as a nobody.

Well I for one think this show proves that Heidi is far from being classed as a "nobody" in the fashion industry

Stars Dress Up for Children In Need Gig

How great did everyone look last night on Children In Need Rocks the Royal Albert Hall which aired on BBC1 at 8:00pm.
The special one off show was organised by Take That lead man Gary Barlow, who brought together the biggest names in the music industry for one night in aid of the Children In Need charity.
The Line Up included Take That, Robbie Williams, Sir Paul McCartney, Muse, Annie Lennox, Cheryl Cole, Leona Lewis, Dame Shirley Bassey, Dizzee Rascal, Lily Allen, Snow Patrol, Katherine Jenkins, Mika, James Morrison and Paolo Nutini, With special guests comedian Peter Kay, Terry Wogan, James Corden and was presented by BBC Radio1 DJ Chris Moyles
The show was opened by Take That who were then joined on stage by an emotional Robbie Williams for the first time since 1995!

I particularly loved Cheryl Cole's outfit she wore when signing her new single 'Fight for this Love' and Lily Allen wore the nicest little black dress I've seen in a long time!
Oh and just a matter of interest, did anyone else see Mark Owen from Take That's hair? It really looked amazing! Sadly I cant seem to find a picture of it anywhere but you'll just have to trust me on this!

Supermodel Clothing Line

German born supermodel Claudia Schiffer yesterday revealed that she is planning on releasing her own clothing line, the supermodel who will be following in the footsteps of fellow models Kate Moss who has been designing for Topshop since 2007 and Yasmin LeBon who recently has been desined a clothing line for Wallis. Claudia told the IHT's Techno Luxury conference yesterday that she is planning to release her own clothing line, the model also revealed that she has not agreed to any contracts just yet but she is in the process of making her fashion dreams a reality. Claudia also said "I have no definite product in mind, but I would love to do cashmere. It's something I wear all the time myself, but I'd love to do something a bit more price-friendly. Plus a lot of cashmere lines are very classic and timeless, while I'd want to do it a bit more fashion. Or I could imagine doing handbags." We should expect to see her line on release by 2010
Well I personally will be first in line for her collection when it comes out! Claudia we cant wait!

The X factor Fashion War Continues

Yet another fantastic X factor show last night could only mean one thing....... Yet another battle of the best dressed judge. Cheryl Cole wore an amazing Richard Nicholl dress worth £1,335! (But Cheryl as always proved it was worth the money) Cheryl also accessorised her dress with a pair of beautiful gold Gina shoes, and Shaun Leane earrings and bracelet.... Oh if only we could all look as great as Cheryl!


While Dannii Minogue wore a.... lets just say interesting, Lisa Ho printed kaftan. Don't get me wrong I also thought Dannii looked amazing last night but is it just me or was her dress just a tad bit too different? Dannii completed the look with a high pair of Burgundy Yves Saint Laurent shoes and a natural looking long crimped ponytail. Like it or loathe it, she still managed to look amazing as always!

Welcome to Fashionista! As you may have already read in the heading, Fashionista is a new blog for all fans of fashion.
My aim is to make my blog approachable, and easy to read (but this is my first blog so I may need a bit of time to get used to it!)
Hopefully my blog will help all of you who are in need of some fashion tips and want to know the latest on your favourite celebrities, and don't worry I wont just be writhing about Mary-Kate Olsen and Lady GaGa! I'll try my best to make as wide ranged as possible.
